The Wedding

Wedding Service

Seated for a 1:00pm start

The service is being held in a beautiful Sussex Norman church, tucked away at the foot of the South Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty and close to the site of an ancient Roman Villa. Come with your singing voice to join in with the hymns. Biodegradable confetti acceptable.

Reception

2:00pm – 8:00pm

Merry-making with good food and drink, dancing and cavorting, will take place at Sutton village hall which is less than a mile from the Church – a short drive or easily walked if you prefer.

Parking

At both venues parking is primarily along the roadside. Spaces nearest the venues will be reserved for those with mobility requirements.

Both venues have toilets.

Travel & Accommodation

Travel

Travelling by car is the most convenient option.

For those travelling by train, the nearest station is Pulborough. We have provisionally booked a 6 seater taxi to collect people from the station and bring them to the church. Please let us know if you are travelling by train so we can assure you of a seat!

Accommodation

There are two B&Bs within walking distance, the others are a short drive away in Amberley or Pulborough.

Theme and Gifts

Theme

We are having a traditional country wedding.

Gifts

All we really want for our wedding day is for you to be there to celebrate with us, but if you’d like to give us a gift and are looking for inspiration we have a gift list at John Lewis (johnlewisgiftlist.com), our gift list number is 713176 and the list is open from 15th July. Alternatively, anything from A G Hendy & Co Home Store, or a gift of cash towards our honeymoon, would really make our day.
